In late 2004, West Australian award-winning soloists Rebecca White (violin), Sophie Walker (cello) and Caroline Badnall (piano) decided to combine their talents and love of chamber music repertoire and form a piano trio, now known as Trinity. After studying a number of works in a short space of time, Trinity were invited to perform at the Ninth Annual Blackwood Chamber Music Festival in Bridgetown, in April of this year. They have performed both in suburban and country regions since forming, travelling north and south to perform to a variety of audiences. Rebecca, Sophie and Caroline hope that their futures will include many more performances, master-classes, courses and competitions, both at a national and international level.

In April of this year, Trinity submitted an audition dvd to the ĎAustralian Chamber Music Competitioní (formerly known as the Melbourne National Chamber Music Competition), held in Melbourne every four years. They were chosen as one of eight ensembles out of Australia and Asia to compete in the finals in July. The ĎAustralian Chamber Music Competitioní is the first competition Trinity have entered, and they were honoured at being chosen to participate in this prestigious event.
