Bourby Webster

Before the age of 10 Bourby remembers trying practically every instrument she could lay her hands on, but it wasn't until discovering a great uncle's old violin in an attic that she found her calling! She began violin lessons at the age of 11 and progressed to viola aged 15.

BA Hons, Music (Oxford University, UK) Postgraduate Diploma in Performance (Royal College of Music, London) Master of Business Administration (MBA) (University of WA)

Career Highlights:

According to Bourby - everything! Playing co-principal violist with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, touring with the famous Allegri String Quartet, being a founder member of the British-based group 'bond' were all amazing experiences, but playing with Emma and Jessica in bojème is so far the biggest lasting buzz of Bourby's performing career!

When not playing Bourby enjoys working as a marketing consultant and has recently completed an MBA at the University of Western Australia. In what little time is left, she enjoys keeping fit and is passionate about the sport of rowing. She has coxed elite rowing crews and medalled at Regattas in Europe and Australia - although she reports bojème is increasingly keeping her out of the boat!
