Bronwyn Wallis

Bronwyn began playing the harp in 1987 when she received a scholarship to Churchlands Senior High School. After completing a Bachelor of Arts at UWA, she began studying classical performance at the Western Australian Conservatorium. During her studies she participated in award winning chamber groups and premiered new compositions by Western Australian composers as part of New Music Week. Bronwyn completed a Bachelor of Music at UWA under the direction of Western Australian Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Harpist, Sarah Bowman. She is now working as a freelance harpist in Perth performing at corporate and private functions as well as orchestral, solo, and chamber music concerts. Bronwyn is employed by many of schools as their peripatetic harp tutor. In 2004 Bronwyn played in the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra for Opera Australia’s acclaimed production of Wagner’s Ring Cycle. In 2005 she performed in the USA and Europe with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. Bronwyn performs regularly with the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra and has done so since 2002.
