Jacek Slawomirski

Jacek Slawmorski is lecturer in Violin and Co-ordinator of String Studies at WAAPA. He has been a member of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra since 1986 and conducts various ensembles and orchestras around Perth. Jacek is the Artistic Director of Allegri Chamber Orchestra.

In 1975 Jacek completed Master of Arts (Mus.) at Poznan Academy of Music, Poland and became Concertmaster of Olsztyn (Allenstein) Symphony Orchestra, performing recitals, chamber music and solo concerts with leading Polish Orchestras.

In 1980 he was appointed First Violin at Stadttheater Klagenfurt, Austria and performed numerous solo concerts in Austria and Northern Italy. He was also a member of the “Kaertner Streichquartett” (Carintian String Quartet), First Violin of Radio (ORF) Chamber Orchestra of Carinthia Studio and Leader of “Camerata Carinthia”.

In 1988 Jacek won 2nd Prize: Adelaide Violin Competition and since 1988 has performed in over thirty solo appearances in WA including, Mostly Mozart Recital at Perth Concert Hall, at University of WA and WAAPA
