Penelope is a graduate of both the Western Australian Conservatorium of Music and the University of New Mexico, where she attained full scholarship to complete Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance. Penelope has studied and performed in Germany, Italy, England and the United States. She has received numerous awards including; The New Mexico Symphony Orchestra Operatic Award and a Professional Development Grant from ArtsWA.
Penelope was a Young Artist with WA Opera in 1997/98 and has performed extensively in the companyís corporate entertainment programme. Her operatic roles for the company include Adele (Die Fledermaus), Sandman/Dew Fairy (Hansel and Gretel), Gossip (Noahís Flood) ,Clothilde (Norma), Papagena (The Magic Flute), Zerlina (Don Giovanni) Soloist in the 1998 Opera Gala, 2004 Opera on the Bay and 2005 Baby Grand Opera. Penelopeís 2005 engagements include, the role of Mercedes in Carmen.
Her roles with other companies include; Violetta (La Traviata), Kate Pinkerton( Madama Butterfly) Laetitia (Old Maid and the Thief), Countess (Le Nozze di Figaro), Vixen (The Cunning Little Vixen), and Belinda (Dido and Aeneas).
Penelope has been a regular soloist with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra including Mozartís Exsultate Jubilate, the 2003 Burswood Community Concert, the 1999 Festival of Perth Fireworks Concert and the 1999 Very Viennese Concert . Her oratorio repertoire includes Handelís Messiah, Rossiniís Stabat Mater, Brahmsí Requiem, Vaughan-Williamsí Dona Nobis Pacem, Mendelssohnís Elijah, Haydnís Nelson Mass and St Nicolai Mass, and Schubert's Mass in G. Penelope has performed and recorded for ABCFM and toured for Country Arts WA.Book This Performer
