Tommaso Pollio

Tommaso Pollio graduated with Honours in Piano Performance from the University Of Western Australia School Of Music, later continuing his studies at the Cincinnati School of Music in the United States.

Tommaso is the recipient of numerous awards and winner of select competitions including the Cincinnati School of Music Scholarship and Teachers’ Award, the Sir Frank Callaway Competition for Two Piano Works, the Margaret Bello Award for Chamber Music and the Ralph Thompson Memorial Award. Tommaso has achieved extensive and varied experience and has developed an excellent reputation as a chamber musician following engagements with varied companies including West Australian Opera, West Australian Ballet, Western Australian Youth Orchestra, the Australian Youth Orchestra and the Collegium Musicum Chorale.

Tommaso works extensively with West Australian Opera and continues to impress with a vast and varied career and currently holds the position of Vocal Coach at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, is Assistant Repetiteur for West Australian Opera, as well as a member of the newly formed West Australian Piano Trio.
