Stephanie Nicholls graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Performance in 1986. Whilst studying at UWA Stephanie was twice awarded the Margaret Bello Prize for Chamber Music and also received the Convocation Prize for Outstanding Music Graduate. In 1987 she travelled to London on a Department of the Arts Grant to study with Anthony Camden, Principal Oboe with the London Symphony Orchestra.
Stephanie toured with the Australian Youth Orchestra on its Bicentennial Tour in 1988 and was Principal Oboe with the Western Australian Arts Orchestra. She is a busy freelance oboist, including performing with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra and the Collegium Musicum. She is currently Principal Oboe with the Juniper Chamber Orchestra and has recently formed the chamber music ensemble Pro Arte Collective.
Stephanie is also an accomplished pianist and accompanist. For 3 years she was the resident pianist and Windows restaurant at the Burswood Resort. She has performed as an accompanist at the Perth Concert Hall, Sydney Opera House, His Majesty's Theatre and Burswood Showroom in styles ranging from Classical to Popular and Musical Theatre.Book This Performer
