After immigrating to Australia with her family, Emma began playing 'cello at the age of 12. Exposed to numerous genres of music while growing up, Emma draws upon a lot of different influences and enjoys listening to and playing in lots of different styles.
Completed 3 yrs of a BA in Music Performance, 'Cello (WA Conservatorium of Music) Currently studying an MBA (Management) (Edith Cowan University, Western Australia)
Emma enjoyed being principal cellist with both the WA Universities Symphony Orchestra and the WA Youth Orchestra with whom she toured Europe and Japan. Throughout her youth, Emma achieved many scholarships such as the Faith Court Scholarship and the WAYO 'cello scholarship. She cites every concert with bojème as being a high!
Emma is an individual cellist and enjoys freelancing with several original bands and singer songwriters. When not performing, she teaches music with the Education Department of WA in the hope of passing on her considerable experience to develop budding young cellists. Emma enjoys keeping fit and is currently studying a business degree in the hope she might acquire the necessary skills to become the first female manager of Manchester United FC!
