Born in Russia in 1966, Lena Mackenzie commenced violin studies aged 6. From 1980 she became a student at the Tchaikovsky Music College, followed by 5 years tuition by Professor Mirchin at the Mussorgsky Conservatorium.
During that time she regularly performed with the Cathrinesburge Opera House.
Upon graduating in 1991, Lena commenced work with various professional symphony orchestras as well as teaching violin. In 1995 she received a prize for her performance of Bartok's Violin Concerto No. 1 in a string players association competition.
Arriving in Australia in 1999, Lena has performed regularly with the West AUstralian Symphony Orchestra as well as in various chamber music ensembles.Book This Performer
