Amanda Johnston

Amanda graduated from UWA with a Bachelor of Music Education and was the recipient of the Rupert Thackray Prize for the top student in that course.

As a saxophonist she has performed as a soloist with the WASO, the Malaysian Philharmonic and has been saxophone section leader of the Western Australian and the Australian Wind Orchestras, having toured internationally with both groups.

Amanda fills in her days teaching saxophone, clarinet and conducting four wind orchestras at the secondary school level. She has also guest conducted the WAIM Wind Ensemble and the WAYMA Symphonic Band.
