Justin Florisson is a West Australian Academy of Performing Arts graduate with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance and an Advanced Diploma of Contemporary Music, having won the 2004 International Association of Jazz Educators Award and most improved in Contemporary Music.
Working as a producer at Eastman Music, he has helped produce, arrange, compose and record projects such as 'Christmas Lights' at Forest Place, physiotherapy for children with disabilities, touring saxophone players, production music for Globe Vista, original musicals such as 'The Pearl' and 'Godspell', Star Search Final and individual demos.
Performance highlights include playing at the Gigigannup Jazz Festival, Araluen Spring Carnival, Hyde Park Hotel Student Night, Regal Theatre and Winthrop Hall with an eight piece jazz vocal choir, shows including 'The World Goes Round', 'Bad Girls on Broadway', 'Eastman Group Showcase' at Channel Nine, 'Thornlie Carols in The Park', playing with local acts 'Body Chocolate', 'Two Groove', 'Sassy Catch', 'Abba/Grease Tribute Band' and many more.
This year, he was asked to adjudicate at the Bunbury City Eisteddfod contemporary organ and keyboard section. He has also taught audio engineering at LaSalle Catholic College as well as private piano lessons at Winthrop/Somerville Baptist schools.
Currently, he is working with the original five-piece rock/fusion/funk band 'Elekt'.Book This Performer
