Jillian Belbin

Jillian Belbin holds an M Mus in Performance (harpsichord & fortepiano) and a BA in English from the University of Western Australia after gaining her first qualifications of BMus (Melbourne) & TTC (Tasmania). Initially teaching in secondary schools in Tasmania & WA, she subsequently lectured for many years at ECU & UWA. She is an AMEB examiner, has adjudicated in numerous festivals and teaches from her private studio. She was an ABC studio accompanist for years & worked also with WASO as orchestral pianist & harpsichordist. She maintains a performance profile as soloist & chamber musician, specialising in Early Music for the harpsichord & fortepiano. In her capacity as Curator of the Historic & Ethnic Instrument Collection at UWA she promotes the keyboard instruments in the Eileen Joyce Studio through monthly Open Days and seasonal concerts.
