Alison Conroy

Alison Conroy holds a Diploma in Teaching (Music) and a B. Ed (Music) from Edith Cowan University where she studied Piano and Flute in her training as a secondary school music specialist. In addition to her teaching she was Coordinator of the UWA Junior Music School from 2002 to 2005, and was conductor of the WA Children's Choir in 2002. She currently teaches music in two schools, specialising in choirs and recorder. Since 1994, Alison has directed the Jazz Vocal Ensemble at the WA Academy of Performing Arts which stems from her background as a singer and backing vocalist. A founding member of Mostly Baroque, Alison plays the sopranino, descant, treble and tenor recorders. She also teaches the recorder and the piano privately.
